For our new client in the region of Badhoevedorp, a logistic provider within e-commerce, we are searching for a new warehouse team leader with an entrepreneurial approach. Our customer is growing!

We are looking for a team lead who is eager to work hard, reliable, leads in a people-oriented way, is engaged with the company and its growth, is motivated to develop further, and has the ambition to potentially grow into the role of Operations Manager.

The role of a Team Leader is to control the daily activities of all warehouse staff in the Distribution Centre (DC) to ensure the safe and efficient receipt, storage, despatch and delivery of product.
As Team Leader you may also perform other duties or functions that are ancillary to the Distribution Centre’s (DC) operation.

What are you going to do?

• Lead the daily business and the team of more or less 12 warehouse workers
• Champions a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with all legislative and company standards.
• Works safely at all times, maintaining PaT compliance at 95% or higher.
• Reports hazards, incidents, near misses, and injuries promptly, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
• Leads thorough investigations and drives corrective and preventive actions to continuously improve safety.
• Supports site and business leadership in achieving operational excellence.
• Identifies opportunities to enhance business practices, increase profitability, and strengthen client relationships.
• Actively participates in Continuous Improvement programs, challenging the status quo and introducing innovative solutions.
• Builds strong and positive relationships across teams and with clients, contributing to long-term success.
• Proactively supports the rollout of new business initiatives and ensures smooth implementation.
• Collaborates as an effective team player, sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues to achieve common goals.
• Contributes to talent development and succession planning, helping create an environment where people can grow and perform at their best.

What are we looking for?

• A solid foundation to build on: Maybe you’ve got a Certificate or diploma in Warehousing & Distribution or Transport & Logistics. If so, that’s fantastic, it tells us you’ve invested in learning the ropes and are ready to put that knowledge into practice.
• A leader with experience: You’ve already spent at least two years as a Warehouse team leader, so you know what it takes to motivate a team, keep operations running smoothly, and step up when challenges appear.
• Ready to roll: If you already hold a reach truck or stock picker licence, you can jump straight into action. We love people who come prepared and can make an immediate impact.
• Safety at heart: With DG (Dangerous Goods) certification, you’ll bring extra confidence and responsibility to the team, because you know that safety and compliance aren’t just boxes to tick, but the backbone of smooth operations.
• A communicator who connects: Strong English, both spoken and written, is key. Whether you’re briefing your team, updating a manager, or calming a stressed client, you’ll have the words to keep things clear and constructive.
• Customer-focused by nature: Perhaps you’ve worked in a more Customer focused role before and know how powerful it is to put people first. That mindset will shine through in the way you handle challenges and build trust.
• Tech-friendly: We’re not asking you to be an IT wizard, but solid skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint will help you stay organized, keep track of the details, and share insights with others.
